When are your church services?

We worship God every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM.

Where can I park?

Anywhere you like. We have parking available directly in front of and across from the church building.

How would you describe your worship service?

Our worship service has an emphasis on music, prayer and preaching. We share some announcements and move into times of singing and prayer. Our music is a blend of traditional church music and newer praise music. Special music is offered frequently. A sermon is shared that seeks to help you grow in your spiritual life and to prepare you to serve Christ in the world.

What should I wear?

Whatever you like. Most people wear jeans on Sunday mornings. Shorts and t-shirts are not uncommon during the warmer months. On special days – such as days when Holy Communion is celebrated – the pastor may dress more formally by wearing a robe. On those days you may still wear whatever you wish.

Speaking of Communion, how often do you offer Holy Communion?

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. Communion may also be offered at other special times.

Can I take Holy Communion even though I am not a member of Oak Grove?

Yes. The table belongs to Jesus Christ, not us. Therefore, all are welcome to receive Holy Communion.

As a visitor, will I be singled out?

No. We will not single you out in any way because we want you to feel right at home. We do ask that you fill out an information card so that we can get to know you and your family better but this is not mandatory.

Do you offer Sunday School?

Yes. Sunday school begins at 9:30 and is available for all ages.

Do you offer children’s church?

At present, we do not offer children’s church but we would be glad to if there is a demand. However, we do offer a children’s sermon during the morning worship service. Your children are always welcome in the worship service.

Do you ever eat together?

Yes, we love sharing meals! Unless indicated otherwise, every Wednesday night at 6:00 we share a meal provided by a family within the church on a rotating basis. We also host a potluck “family dinner” on the second Sunday of every month immediately after the morning worship service.

What are your beliefs?

We share many common beliefs with Christians worldwide. One of our distinctives is our rich Wesleyan heritage. For more information, please click on our Beliefs page. You may also visit the United Methodist Church’s website to read even more about United Methodist beliefs.

I have other questions. Can I talk to someone?
